I work on homes from a few different angles. I enjoy figuring out how it all fits together.

Through my work with KB Home, I help people explore the possibilities of a new home. Through interior design and woodworking, I help bring spaces—and the things inside them—to life. The layout, the materials, the way a room gets used. And sometimes, the table you’ve pictured for ages but haven’t quite found.
A floor plan can tell you the dimensions. Walking through a home helps you imagine where your life would go.
Where you’d have your coffee
Whether the dining table will fit
An office, a guest room, or something else
That’s the conversation I enjoy having.
In my work with KB Home, I help people get to know the community, explore home choices, and understand the steps ahead. My background in interiors and woodworking gives me a practical eye for the details, too: how a layout flows, where storage matters, and how a space could come together once you move in.

A little help seeing
the possibilities.

01

A layout that fits your day

We can talk through how you’d use the rooms, what you need space for, and which features matter most to you.

02

A clearer picture of your choices

I’ll help you understand the options available for the home you’re considering, including what’s included and where there may be choices to make.

03

Someone to explain the next step

From an initial visit to the people you’ll meet along the way, I can help make the KB Home process easier to follow.

Make room for the way you live. Or work.

I design interiors for homes and offices, with an interest in making everyday spaces more comfortable, useful, and personal.
At home, that might mean bringing a room together around the pieces you already love. In an office, it might mean thinking through where people work, what needs to be within reach, and how the space feels throughout the day.
I pay attention to layout, furniture, color, materials, and the relationships between them. A room can change quite a bit when those decisions start working together.
And when the right piece doesn’t seem to exist, woodworking opens up another possibility.

Sometimes the right thing
is something you make.

How it belongs in a room
The idea, taken further
Materials
Chosen for how they’ll be used
Dimensions
The right proportions
Details
The ones that make it useful
A coffee table with the right proportions. A dining table with room to gather. A built-in that makes good use of an awkward space.
My projects range from furniture and built-ins to smaller decorative pieces. A small object can ask for just as much thought as a large table, and there’s something satisfying about seeing either one go from a sketch to a finished piece.
There’s usually a fair amount of sawdust in between.

I like understanding how things come together.

I’m Erin Konopka. My work brings together real estate, interior design, and making things by hand. I enjoy moving between those different scales—stepping back to look at a space, then getting close enough to think about how something is made.
Real estate
brings people and their plans into the conversation.
Interior design
a chance to consider the whole room.
Woodworking
takes me into the details of a single piece.
Plus a few projects made simply because I wanted to see if I could.

Tell me what you’re thinking.

You might be exploring a new KB home, considering changes to your space, or looking for a piece you haven’t been able to find. A rough idea is a perfectly good place to start.
